About Me

I am seeking knowledge about Taylors from Texas. My G Grandfathers name was John Taylor. No other person was curious about the family ancestors so I am starting from scratch with some faded memories of stories grandfather told me.

Yes FamilyTies I believe I have the Right John Taylor, John Taylor's Father Volney W Taylor was the Brother of my GG Grandfather, Charles L Taylor. Thier parents were William S Taylor and Agnes E Garret. John Was born in either 1893 (Taken from a Census) and 1890 (taken from WWI draft card). Sometimes births were not recorded and that left people guessing their age.

Born in Burnett TX and living in Marble Falls during the 1917 -1918 draft (states that John was born in Burnett according to the draft ) John Thomas Taylor had blue eyes and black hair. I can see the dashing figure that he was in his uniform. He had a wife and child at the time of the draft. he was around 24 to 27 years old at that time dependant on which birth date is correct.
